By default, the URL of your instance of Civio Engage is a Civio subdomain. Eg. "company" in company.engage.district.au. However, with the help of the Civio team, you can map this to your own domain or subdomain (such as yoursay.company.com or companyengagment.com),
Getting a domain name
If you haven't already, purchase a domain name and add a subdomain to it. If you have a system administrator, please consult with them before moving forward.
You can purchase and register a domain name from any domain registrar, including GoDaddy, Namecheap, VentraIP or Bluehost. For instructions, see the Help section on the registrar's website.
Getting a Subdomain
If you want to map your instance of Civio Engage to your own subdomain (eg. yoursay.company.com), then you will need to add this subdomain (if you haven't already).
After registering your domain, use your registrar's tools to add a new subdomain such as "yoursay" or "engage".

Make the domain or subdomain an alias of your default address
The next step is to make your domain or subdomain an alias of your default Civio Engage address. An alias is simply an alternate address for a website.
Note
You must create a CNAME record on your domain registrar's website to create the alias. If you have any concerns, consult your system administrator, if you have one, before proceeding.
1. Sign in to your domain registrar's control panel
If you don't have a domain name and a subdomain yet, see Getting a domain name.
2. Find the option to change DNS records.
The option might be called something such as DNS Management, Name Server Management, or Advanced Settings.
3. Locate the CNAME record for your domain and do one of the following:
If there is no CNAME record for your subdomain yet, look for an option to add a new record.
If there is a CNAME record for your subdomain, look for an option to edit the record.
4. Point the CNAME record to your Civio Engage domain/subdomain
Host Record (or similar): Your domain name eg. yoursay.company.com
Points to (or similar): 01.district.stack.host
The terminology may be different depending on your registrar, but your record should look similar to one of the tables below:
If using a subdomain

It may take time for these changes to be implemented, typically from a few hours to a day, depending on your Time to Live (TTL) settings in your domain control panel
If you are using Cloudflare DNS
If you are using Cloudflare DNS, you will also need to configure a CNAME in your Cloudflare dashboard.
1. Log in to https://dash.cloudflare.com
2. Choose the targeted website
3. Select DNS
4. Click Add record
5. From the Type dropdown menu, choose CNAME
6. In the Name field, enter the subdomain you want to configure (eg. yoursay)
7. In the Target field, enter 01.district.stack.host
8. Ensure that the TTL dropdown is set to Auto
9. Ensure that Proxy status is set to DNS only
