The map feedback tool lets the community add feedback to a project by placing map markers (pins) on specific locations on a map. This tool is great for encouraging communities to engage with a project.

Engagement managers can use this geospatial data to identify trends and get deeper insights to inform decision-making.

Add a Map Feedback Tool
-----------------------

To add a map feedback tool to your project:

1. In the left-hand menu, click **Projects**.
2. Click on a project to open it.
3. In the project sub-menu, under **Participation**, click **Map Feedback**. This shows all the map feedback tools created for this project.
4. Click on the **+** icon located on the right-hand side of the screen.
5. Give the map feedback tool a **Title**. This will be publicly visible on your project page.
6. Provide a brief **Summary**.
7. Add **Introduction text** to give public users more information about the topic of the map feedback tool.
8. **Add a map** from the right-hand side menu. Note that if address search is enabled on your selected map, users will be able to search for specific locations when providing feedback.
9. Click **Add input** to select the type of information you'd like to gather.
10. Set an **End date** to determine when this map feedback tool will stop accepting new submissions.
11. Decide if users need to log in to submit feedback by selecting **Authenticated** or **Anyone** in the **Allowed submitter** dropdown.
12. Decide whether feedback submissions need to be moderated or can be published automatically by selecting **Requires approval** or **Published** from the **Submission moderation** dropdown.
13. When you're finished, click **Publish**.
